As Lik Birlesik Bankasi, we care about your security and implement the tightest security standards by constantly following the newest and most developed measures.
To maintain the highest possible level of privacy and confidentiality for you, we would like to remind you that, as our valuable customers, you should also pay regard to some issues.
Never avoid getting more information; you can be safe only if you know the risks and precautions.
Who are you talking to?
- There may be frauds calling you and introducing themselves as lawyer, policeman, prosecutor, banker, insurer, etc., or acting like your friend or a company you do business with over social media/e-mail.
- Never believe those that want you to share any information written on your card, your card password, your Lik Birlesik Bankasi Mobile or Internet Banking details, your Customer Communication Center password or PINs that are sent to you via SMS messages, or those that want you to dial the aforementioned, or those that tell you "money has been sent to your account by mistake or by way of fraud and you have to send the money to the account we will tell you", or those that contact you via e-mail by pretending to be your business partner and request you to place a money transfer order to an account/IBAN or KOLAS (Easy Address) different than usual. Frauds may send you e-mails that look like they are sent by unsuspicious and trustworthy organizations such as your Bank, a public institution or a health institution. Be wary of messages that promise rewards to you or cause urgency, fear, or panic in you, prompting you to click on a link, download a file, or enter your information.
Is your information at the bank up-to-date?
- Your bank might need to reach you in important situations. You, therefore, should make sure that your mobile phone and e-mail information are always up-to-date in your bank's records.
Are you using the right website or application?
- It is preferable that our bank's website is accessed by typing "www.likbirlesikbankasi.com" to the address bar of the internet browser.
- Frauds may ask you to share your confidential information such as your identity details, password, PIN, passcode, and the like through fake accounts or advertisements that look like they belong to our bank with the help of fake SMSs, e-mails, or social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) or through fake websites that you reach via search engines. Always be sure to check the addresses and security certificates of websites that you are directed to via SMS, e-mail, and social media or you access through search engines. If you notice that the address is wrong or there is a problem with the certificate, never enter any information, do not download files to your computer, remove automatically downloaded files from your system without running them, if any, and inform your bank of this situation.
- Always use the official application stores (Google Play, Apple Store, Huawei AppGallery) for the applications you wish to download to your mobile phone. The applications you download from unofficial application stores or websites might infect your phone with viruses. In this way, all the information on your mobile phone, all your defined accounts, incoming SMSs and calls, and your banking information may be captured.
Do you use antivirus software?
- You may lose your IDs on social networks, e-mail accounts, and personal information if you do not have antivirus software on both your mobile phone and PC. Use security software from trusted software companies to protect your internet banking devices.
